Summer Research Assistant

I am hiring a summer research assistant focused on horses in ‘new Westerns.’ The expansion of television and film Westerns (both historical and contemporary depictions) through programs like Yellowstone raises important ethical, organizational, and cultural questions about the representations of horses and horse-human work, and the experiences of the real horses working on these sets. The research assistant will support analysis of both dimensions.
